Residential complex Řeporyje

Residential complex Řeporyje
House of Many Faces. Very inconspicuous from the street, embedded in a row of solitary two-story villas that respect the context of the locality. In contrast, the house opens up towards the courtyard, highlighting its size.
The residential complex in Řeporyje fills the block between Smíchovská and Všerubská streets. On a very sloping site, two buildings are proposed, between which a green courtyard unfolds.
Along the upper road, a simple rectangular mass with a gable roof is designed, with parking spaces integrated into the ground floor of the house. On the facade, which, when viewed from the front, forms a clear letter T, a game of square window openings takes place.
From the perspective of the courtyard, the house reveals its surprising size, appearing as a four-story, quite intricate mass with balconies, terraces, loggias, and front gardens.
Along the lower road, a row house with three residential units is proposed. The mass also respects the surrounding development and matches the neighboring building in height at the cornice. Each house has its own garage, spacious garden, English courtyard, and small balcony.
In terms of materials, the houses are designed very simply, with the foundation consisting of white plaster and anthracite gray elements cladding the roof, window openings, or garage doors. Wood has been used as a softening element, appearing on partition walls, terraces, and staircases. A corridor, a wooden "tunnel," runs through the entire block, connecting both streets.
The complex offers a wide range of residential units – two-room apartments with loggias, three-room apartments with front gardens, two-story maisonettes with a rooftop terrace, and three-story units with a generous garden.
