LOOOOX

The program - the showroom was created in response to the constant futile search for accessories for our projects. We decided to concentrate our favorite elements in one place, making the final phase of interior design - the selection of accessories - more enjoyable for clients. The main criterion for selection is our taste, not commercial considerations of what will sell better. LooooX is also open to other architects and end clients. The main materials for the accessories include concrete, glass, and luxurious textiles.
Showroom / space - we chose the space in the building of the former Electrical Enterprises in Prague at Vltavská, which is gradually becoming a center for designers and architects.
In consideration of the architectural value of the building, we gradually removed all the years of layers down to the essence of the constructions and uncovered the original mosaic floor in the upper floor, cement tiles on the lower floor, a steel staircase with a corrugated metal sheet, and above all, functional "thermostats" from the original central heating and air conditioning by Carrier. We scraped off the paintings on the sides of the space. The electrical installations are done in the spirit of the 1930s - exposed with Bakelite sockets and switches with levers. PAR spotlights are mounted on a cable bridge rail. Other hanging lights are a selection from the LooooX production. The shelves around the space are made of spray-painted pallets. The central presentation table has a base made of old barrels in white paint.
