Bar like wine! In the new administrative complex of Rustonka on the Rohanské waterfront, a space has been created for the sale, tasting, and exhibition of wine – Kolby Wine Bar. In addition to the general public, the wine bar is also intended for private parties and corporate events. The entire space is primarily designed as an exhibition and presentation of wine. The modestly conceived interior aims to direct attention to the most important thing, the wine itself.
The wine bar itself, with an area of 59 m², is conceived as an open space allowing its customers various ways of use and arrangements of furniture for specific types of events. From a classic setup intended for the public, through a central arrangement for tastings and samplings, to other various configurations suitable for buffets, corporate parties, or private celebrations. For this reason, the furniture is a combination of standard products and atypical carpentry elements. The entire open space is framed by a continuous shelving system, whose main purpose is the presentation and storage of wine bottles and boxes. Other interior elements such as the corten bar, poured concrete floor, or furniture (Vitra) only complement this shelving system and enhance the emphasis placed on the exhibited wine.
The main area of the wine bar and its background are designed in a simple material and color combination, where dominant black and gray tones are complemented by wooden carpentry elements. Other materials like exposed concrete, black lacquered metal, corten cladding of the bar, and a ceiling without a false ceiling with visible black conduits together create a cohesive impression of a simple open space with an industrial character. Soft materials such as wood, dark upholstery of the furniture, or textile curtains add coziness and subtlety to the interior. Overall, it is a modestly designed backdrop for the ever-present bottles of wine and the customers who come here to enjoy it.
