Dos Mundos Café was created in a historic building in Prague. The family business established its branded café in the sought-after location of Letná after successful years of operating a roastery in Vinohrady.
The space of the former sports bar on Milady Horákové Street has been transformed into a fresh interior that attracts coffee lovers. The design preserves the basic visual similarity with the roastery on Korunní Street, thus creating a natural continuation.
The café, with an area of 58 m² for 23 guests, is oriented towards the street with the main room having a bar, followed by a seating area and the café's back office.
Even from the street, the friendly atmosphere catches the eye. Passersby are taken out of the hustle and bustle of the metropolis by the sight of swaying visitors in the window. Against a backdrop of red swings, a wallpaper tells the story of the coffee bean from harvest on the farm to tasting. It is clear at the entrance that a visit is essential.
At Dos Mundos Café, we work with solid wood, veneer, and white color. This elegant and calm combination is complemented by playful elements in red. The outlines of the individual countries from which the offered coffee comes are etched into the oak wood of the circular tables. The café is designed to offer various types of seating: swings for visitors with a sense of humor, a large table for bigger gatherings, classic café tables, and bar seating.
The hexagonal floor, with seemingly randomly placed patchwork tiles, unifies the entire space. At the back swing and in part of the bar, the floor has been raised into a wooden stage. At the same time, the space is connected by a system of indirect lighting that highlights the simple arches.
Just as Lukáš and Adéla give each coffee bean special care, every guest at Dos Mundos Café will find their ideal space for coffee tasting.
