Positive tension between the old and the new, between the message of our ancestors and our contemporary contribution. The challenge to revive historical spaces, restore their original value, and enrich them with elements of modern architecture. The recreation of the legacy of the original gardens and park.
Hotel Clara Futura is situated in the historic building of the archbishop's palace, located in the palace park. The original burgher fortress from the early 14th century, significantly rebuilt during the Renaissance, underwent further modifications in the early Baroque era.
All hotel functions are located within the palace building. The unique space of the former castle courtyard has been covered with a delicate glass "tent" roof, placed above the level of the cornice. This solution allowed the unique space of the courtyard to be used as a hotel lobby with a reception area, lobby bar, communal space, and connection to the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant has a capacity of 80 seats and, thanks to the interior design, offers smaller or larger spaces with different character environments. It is directly connected by a terrace to the garden with the restored palace park. The restored open galleries around the hotel's atrium serve as the main access routes to the rooms. A new glass panoramic elevator, inserted into the atrium, connects the individual levels without disturbing the existing historical structures of the palace.
The hotel has a total of 40 rooms of various standards. The most significant rooms are the wedding suite with restored wall paintings of the original palace chapel. Additionally, there is the archbishop's suite and a salon with the original painted ceiling.
The new garden is divided into two parts. A smaller meditative garden with terraced seating is located in a confined area of the park. The form of the main garden confirms the main axis of the palace and is naturally connected to the large palace game reserve.
