House with apartments for seniors and a store
Given the conservation of the village's state during communism, a number of original houses have been preserved in the square, and the village has been spared from insensitive alterations and reconstructions. For the same reason, the urban planning of the square, which runs along the watercourse Dlouhá stoka, has largely been preserved. In the southern part of the square, this original urbanism is only violently disrupted by the existing store intended for removal. Therefore, the main goal of the architectural design from an urban planning perspective is the preservation and enhancement of the valuable urbanism of the central part of the village.

The main building of the proposed residential building for seniors is a long structure lining the street line and connecting to both neighboring buildings no. 8 and no. 11. A significant element of the building is the roof shape, which is uniform for the street facades of all these buildings. The main building is supplemented by a ground-floor garden wing. The proposed structure is placed by our architect in the addressed area on plot number st. 600 owned by the municipality, and there is no need to purchase land in private ownership.

The aim of the architectural design of the residential building was to create a structure that is entirely contemporary while giving the impression that it has stood in the square since time immemorial. The street facade, therefore, not only follows the aforementioned street line but also aligns with neighboring buildings with a similar rhythm of window openings, disrupted only by the recessed part of the ground floor forming a shelter before the entrances to the building. The area of the street facade (and the adjacent gate and entrance for access to the courtyard) is made up of a flat cladding of metal shingles. This approach emphasizes the significance of the main street facade. The street window fillings with lowered sills are supplemented by integrated flower boxes.

The main facade is complemented by the area of the gable roof with roof windows, clad in the same shingle cladding as the street facade. The color palette that forms the facade of the square consists of copper/bronze and anthracite shades of metal elements. The eastern gable of the building adjoining no. 11 and the facade of the garden wing follow this color palette. These are supplemented on the southern and eastern sides with steel structures supporting stainless steel nets for climbing plants. A light shade emphasizes the main southern facade with windows of the residential units. All windows of the garden-facing apartments have lowered sills for better views, even for seated individuals. The same applies to the windows of the residential corridor on the 2nd floor, where a flower box is additionally placed under the window.
The construction modifications have increased the energy standard of the existing building with an extension to passive.
