<strong>Residential Building Teatro</strong>

The apartment building stands by the medieval walls of Porta, just 250 meters from the ocean. The widest plot on the street has been filled with an uncompromising modern new construction. The architect managed to connect various street lines and compose the street into a harmonious form. The division of the mass of the building into two parts responds to the size of the houses in the vicinity. While the western façade generously opens up to the sea, the eastern-courtyard side features strip windows.
The varying heights of the cubes and their mutual displacement create an interesting rhythmic composition. The cubes are connected by a vertical communication core. On the ground floor of the taller cube, there is a commercial unit, while the lower half has an entrance to the underground garages and the entrance to the building. The upper floors contain seven residential units, of which the last two duplex apartments exhibit features of exclusive dwellings with a magnificent view of the sea. The comfort of the apartments on Rua do Teatro is evidenced not only by the generous floor areas but also by two elevators and sixteen parking spaces (2.3 spaces per apartment). The building's exclusivity is immediately evident upon first acquaintance by the steel skeleton, which is not often seen in apartment buildings.
