The apartment is located in an older building, in its original layout of 1+1. The apartment was handed over in its original condition and underwent a complete renovation, including the replacement of all surfaces.
The client's requirement was to convert the apartment for short-term rental using interesting elements, with layout adjustments allowing for a large kitchen with a built-in washing machine, ample storage space, sleeping for two people, and a living room. At the same time, a large shower with RGB backlighting and a spacious bathroom.
In the apartment, it was necessary to replace the floor coverings with oak parquet and make repairs to the existing ones. In the kitchen, the parquet seamlessly transitions into cement tiles, while larger format tiles were laid in the entrance hall and bathroom, continuing into the shower area. The apartment underwent minor layout adjustments by moving walls, bricking up the original entrance to the kitchen, and creating a new passage from the living room. New lighting positions and switches were added, as well as new preparations for the kitchen.
The double bed was designed as a sleeping box with storage space, and like the kitchen, wardrobes, and bathroom furniture, it was made by carpenters according to the design. The overall color scheme is tuned to warm summer shades of yellow, blue, and oak, which were based on the colors of the old coatings revealed during the renovation. This detail was retained as a picture on the wall. The overall concept is complemented by newly supplied doors in a Viennese style with a white matte finish.
