For the company headquarters of a business whose activity involves wood processing and the production of fuel wood, the choice of building materials was clear. Wood is an integral part of the corporate identity, which is why the design of this company's headquarters works with wood in various forms in both the interior and exterior. The administrative building within the industrial complex was to become primarily a healthy and attractive working environment for employees.
The layout of the building, located on a flat plot, is based on the requirements and needs of the investor. The ground floor houses the workstations of the majority of employees and a kitchenette connected to an outdoor terrace. The upper floor contains a meeting room, management office, archive, and a small room with a terrace that serves to accommodate management if needed. The sanitary and technical facilities of the building are located at the rear facade of the building. A wall of exposed concrete runs through both floors, serving a load-bearing and thermal mass function. At the same time, it also serves as a display area for the company's main product – fuel wood, which is placed here in gabion baskets. The central point of the entire building is a stove located in its center, which is another reference to the focus of the company.
The main construction material of the administrative building is a combination of linear structural elements and glued wooden panels Novatop, which also form the visible surface of the interior. The load-bearing structure also includes a concrete wall in the center of the layout. The facade features a cladding of red spruce slats and glazing. The heating source is a heat pump. External shading of the glazed areas protects the building from overheating. However, cooling with ducted air conditioning is planned for the hot summer months. Most of the building technologies are located on the roof, which is covered with extensive greenery.
