The house is designed as a recreational facility, a space for a three-member family for sports activities and relaxation in the Krušné Mountains at an altitude of +1000 meters above sea level. Its composition consists of two archetypal volumes with a gable roof with a slope of 50°, which are offset relative to each other and internally connected by a continuous corridor. Each volume serves a different function. The first volume, located closer to the entrance and driveway on the property, has a non-residential function and contains a wellness area with a Finnish sauna, a storage room for the house, a garden, and sports equipment. The second volume, further set back into the garden, is purely residential with a layout of 4+kk, featuring two rooms and a raised living area open to the roof structure, where a sleeping gallery is placed. The house was built using a prefabricated timber construction technology made from sandwich panels manufactured in a hall with a diffusely open system. Both volumes are unified by a light gray plaster, while the roof is covered with folded sheet metal in a dark gray shade. Wood, the main building material of the house, is intentionally not exposed in the exterior due to the harsh mountain climate but rather highlighted in the interior, where it emphasizes the structure in the form of exposed beams of the roof, miller’s stairs to the gallery, wooden floors, cladding of the Finnish sauna, and furniture.
