Biography
1960-66 - studied at the Faculty of Architecture, Czech Technical University in Prague

1966-68 - Association of Design Studios in Prague

1968-69 - internship at the office van den Broek en Bakema in Rotterdam

1970-78 - member of the so-called Školka SIAL in Liberec

1978 - goes into exile in the Netherlands

1978-84 - worked at Architectengemeenschap van den Broek en Bakema in Rotterdam

1980-97 - visiting lecturer, later research associate at the Technical University of Delft

1985 - becomes a partner in the studio with E. Bakema

1989 - establishes his own office Atelier Z in Rotterdam (in 2004 hands over management to colleagues)

2005 - elected dean of FA ČVUT in Prague (re-elected for another four-year term in 2009)
