Biography
Thomas Coldefy is a French architect who graduated in 2002 from the Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture (ESA) in Paris. He subsequently gained work experience in London and at the New York office of KPF. His originality and inventiveness have brought him success in several competitions, including the Hong Kong Design Institute, which Thomas Coldefy won in 2006 against 162 teams, helping him establish his own practice. He creates projects in France and abroad, covering areas such as education, culture, housing, offices, and urbanism. His offices have branches in Lille, Paris, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). His work is characterized by an open and innovative approach. Since 2014, he has taught at the Jilin Institute in China, and since 2021, he has been supervising master's students at the Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture (ESA) in Paris. His father is Bertrand Coldefy.
