1925 - Robert Charles Venturi was born on June 25 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA1944-50 - studied architecture at Princeton University, New Jersey
1951-53 - after studying he worked in the office of O. Stonorov in Philadelphia and with E. Saarinen in Detroit
1954-59 - won the Rome Prize Fellowship; briefly worked for Louis I. Kahn
1958 - opened his own office Venturi & Short with William Short
1958 - taught as a professor at Princeton University and Yale
1964 - began collaboration with John Rauch
1966 - published the book Complexity and Contradiction in Architecture
1967 - married Denise Scott Brown
1972 - co-published Learning from Las Vegas with Steven Izenour
1980 - founded the firm Venturi, Rauch and Scott Brown
1989 - the firm changed its name to Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates
