Wiesner-Hager Project s.r.o.

The Prague headquarters of the German company Teekanne has undergone a complete renovation. The concept, design, and supply of serial furniture elements, including the implementation of atypical solutions, was the responsibility of the Austrian company Wiesner-Hager.

Wiesner-Hager chose an open-space concept, which was rhythmized by clever nooks allowing for informal meetings in transitional zones, as well as official meetings in the privacy of a conference room. The generously designed reception area is dominated by a wall covered in green leaves featuring the famous red logo of Teekanne – the greenery, after all, enlivens the otherwise colorally sober interior, which is dominated by red and black elements taken from the company logo. Generous wall panels with large-format photographs of tea plantations also serve as lightboxes.

Workstations are equipped with the legendary office chair paro_2, which provides uncompromising ergonomics and advanced features ensuring exceptional seating comfort. In the relaxation and transitional areas, the architects placed macao chairs in black and red, complemented by high bar stools from the same product line. Informal privacy and perfect comfort are provided by upholstered sofas from the element series with side and back panels, which also function as a partition.

Teekanne is a legendary family business that has been processing and distributing the finest teas from around the world since 1882. It has been at the forefront of many innovations – for example, it was the first to use machine-made tea bags. Its key values, particularly the emphasis on environmentally friendly processing with a minimal ecological footprint, perfectly correspond with the approach of the Austrian company Wiesner-Hager, which is a pioneer of sustainable manufacturing concepts in the furniture industry.
