The largest showroom of Scandinavian design in Brno has opened an e-shop DesignVille. Spanning 250 m², it showcases a carefully selected range of premium (not only) Nordic brands that attract fans of quality, timeless, and minimalist design.

Challenging Reconstruction

Katka and Michal Horák, the owners of DesignVille, created a space that reflects the Scandinavian spirit through the use of natural wood and its airiness with the help of architect Marián Kolařík from AiD team. However, the journey to their dream realization was not easy. DesignVille replaced the former canteen space in the Brno campus, and thus it was necessary to completely rebuild the area.

DesignVille is more than just an e-shop

The spacious showroom aspires to be a place for meeting design enthusiasts as well as the professional public. In addition to operating a Czech and Slovak e-shop, which has been functioning since 2014, DesignVille collaborates with a number of architects and interior designers who return to the store with their clients as customers. Thanks to close relationships with suppliers and a strict selection of products, the store maintains a narrow portfolio of the most prestigious brands.

Premium brands have their own space

The layout of the showroom respects the distinctive style of individual brands. The Scandinavian brands such as Muuto, Menu, Normann Copenhagen, Hay or the British Tom Dixon and Swiss Vitra have their own corners, where a selection of their range is presented. The showroom also features design icons such as the legendary Eames Lounge Chair. The space is also dedicated to brands that primarily offer accessories and decorations, including Stelton, Iittala, Design Letters or Ferm Living and others. DesignVille thus provides a comprehensive offering for interior furnishing for all those who are close to the brand's philosophy - "Buy less, choose well".
