The city of Příbor is looking for a quality project for residential construction in the area Za školou Z43

The city of Příbor has decided to sell a parcel for the purpose of constructing apartment buildings, however, a well-designed proposal in terms of aesthetics and functionality is a prerequisite.


This is a unique location with new family home developments, where the demand for housing will be supplemented by lower apartment buildings. The location Za Školou (Z43) is very well prepared for new construction, featuring complete utilities infrastructure as well as excellent local amenities including a kindergarten, elementary school, a new multifunctional sports field, swimming pool, and a shop. An added advantage is the very good transportation accessibility, with a ramp to the D48 highway nearby.

Overall, this is a sale of land for construction at a fixed price, where the main decision-making criterion is the design of the new apartment buildings. The city has created bidding conditions for builders to facilitate orientation in space and better convey the idea of shaping the entire area. Regulations have been established for the family homes being built by private owners today, as well as for the offered parcel for construction. These regulations specifically address the building density, height of buildings, number of apartments and their minimum area, parking space counts, use of surrounding areas, etc. The construction rules are based on the surrounding terrain conditions, existing buildings, and the relationship to the environment.

The city is trying to come up with a new method of selling the land, which could be beneficial for all parties in terms of both new land use and aesthetics.

The final deadline for submitting proposals is April 23, 2021, by 1:00 PM. In the first half of May 2021, the proposals will be evaluated by a jury composed of impartial city architects and city representatives. The recommended order of interested parties will be forwarded to the city council for the final decision on the investor.
