The company Lightway is introducing a groundbreaking innovation at the beginning of 2015, which pushes the boundaries of technical possibilities even further. After demonstrating to the competition during development, and after thorough selection of materials used, that a quality light guide is a combination of noble precious metals and crystal, it extends these boundaries to the entire product line.

One of the best-selling systems is the Silver LW600 light guide, which until now used a dome made of artificial material PlexiGlass due to the structural possibilities of glassworks working with Czech crystal. Thanks to long preparations and diligent collaboration with a Czech glassworks, a mold for the largest dome to date – the crystal LW600 – has been developed and put into operation.

The new dome is resistant to UV smog, is self-cleaning, and does not age. The LW600 dome is one of the largest products created using this glassmaking technology in our country. At the same time, Lightway is beginning to offer a glass dome for the largest light guide system LW800. However, due to technological constraints in manufacturing possibilities through pressing, these domes are created as hand-blown and thus represent the tradition and artistry of Czech glassmakers.
