Roof windows for historically protected buildings are designed to bring as much light into the interior as possible, but their size and number are limited by authorities. The updated type Solara KLASIK is a suitable historic roof window - it meets the requirements of heritage conservationists, thermal insulation standards, and offers 83% more glass area compared to conventional roof window constructions. It is now available in several variants, either tilting or access windows.

"We developed Solara KLASIK specifically for historic roofs, as it brightens a room almost twice as much compared to a regular window construction under the regulations for Czech or German cities. We have been improving this window for 13 years. It is my favorite roof window because I am particularly fond of historic attics." specifies Mgr. Jakub Formánek from Solara.

Heritage-friendly solutions and technical features of Solara KLASIK roof windows:

  • 83% larger glass area compared to conventional roof window constructions
  • auxiliary piston for easy lifting of the window
  • KLASIK access type with locking for service access to the roof
  • appearance linked to original chimney access windows
  • new models allow for roof covering closer to the window and overall greater embedding of the window into the roof surface (the window visually protrudes less from the covering)
  • craft production from authentic materials: traditional plumbing elements, solid pine wood with options for oil or wax finishes

Even more light and space?

"Anyone wanting to brighten and open the roof even more can enjoy the large glazing Solara HISTORIK - this way, together with several KLASIK window types placed at the ridge of the roof, they can transform a neglected and dark attic into a wonderful living space,"
