In the past, we had the honor of participating in the renovation of the office spaces of Lufthansa in collaboration with the talented team at TJ ARCHITEKTI. For the project, we chose the popular Cewood baffle, made from a combination of wood wool and cement, which fit perfectly into the overall concept of the space.

The renovation took place on two floors, where the continuous customer support is located. To maintain 24/7 operations during the installation, we divided the delivery of the ceilings into two phases, ensuring smooth operation of this key department. Thanks to thorough preparation and organization, we managed to install more than 250 panels in just a few days.
Recently, in connection with this project, we contacted a member of the TJ ARCHITEKTI team, Ing. arch. Zuzana Juráková, to ask her how she perceived the whole realization of the project.

Ms. Juráková, what decided that you ultimately chose the Cewood baffle?
Initially, we aimed for a different acoustic material, but in the end Cewood won due to its favorable price for the client. What was important for us was that we could have the panels sprayed in the color we designed, and we didn't have to adhere to a sample board.

How did you proceed with the design and acoustic solution?
Right at the beginning, we based our design on the client's request to make the common spaces more pleasant and cozy. Since it is a call center, acoustics were the priority. We already had an awareness of acoustic ceilings, so we were looking for an aesthetic solution that would support our idea. And that's how we discovered your company. We consulted the technical aspects with Mr. Beránek, who proposed the optimal solution for both spaces with regard to the desired visual appeal.

The renovation was carried out on two floors, where the 24/7 customer support is located. How did you manage to maintain 24/7 operations during the installation?
It was all about a careful schedule, which we fine-tuned with both the site manager and the company's management. We identified times when there would be the least number of people in the spaces. During these times, the noisiest work occurred, namely anchoring the hangers into the concrete ceiling. Then it was just a matter of allocating one day for hanging panels on one floor and another day for the second floor. The company's management played the biggest role in the success of this logistical matter.

What did you enjoy most about the project, and what was the main challenge you faced during the renovation?
Personally, I enjoyed the client's approach, who prioritized the comfort of their employees and only then considered the budget. This led to the fact that the spaces are now well utilized, they are functional, and it is not just a short-term "design job." I believe that when a client understands the role of the architect as a partner and communication is aligned, everything flows as it should. A significant challenge for us was the overall coordination of work and contractors. We were very fortunate with the contractors. They were incredibly professional, which made the results and details excellent in my view.

How would you rate the collaboration with Acutec during this project?
The collaboration was, in a word, excellent. I appreciate the personal approach, communication, technical expertise, and I am especially pleased that what was agreed upon at the table in the office went smoothly during implementation.

Are you planning any similar projects in the future?
That cannot be said right now. It all depends on who the winds or internet waves bring to us. Our portfolio is quite diverse. We do not specialize only in public buildings or offices, so time will tell.

In conclusion, we also asked Mr. Beránek from Acutec, the company’s managing agent:

How do you personally assess the collaboration and realization with the team at TJ ARCHITEKTI?
Acoustic solutions must go hand in hand with interior design, and it is not always possible to realize everything that is "on paper." That is why we were very pleased with the excellent cooperation with TJ ARCHITEKTI, which resulted in a great outcome for the project. Given that there are a large number of technologies running in the ceilings, it was necessary to fine-tune the dependencies and details on site. It was fantastic that the architects were able to integrate these operational changes into the design. The result is satisfaction for both the client and us as the project executors.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the team at TJ ARCHITEKTI for their willing and flexible approach throughout the project. Their professionalism and collaboration were key to the successful realization of the renovation. A big thanks also goes to Lufthansa for providing us with the opportunity to participate in this significant project. Together, we managed to create a modern and functional working environment that meets the high standards of this prestigious company.
