111 Navy Chair
At this year's Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the American company Emeco once again attracted interest, with its roots dating back to 1944. It is evident that quality materials are defining for Emeco. Emeco prefers materials that are environmentally friendly and at the same time meet all the demands placed on modern materials. Since the main production material of this American company is recycled material, it encourages the development of eco-friendly construction materials.

The theme of environmental protection is also reflected in the simple yet minimalist design of the furniture being proposed, particularly chairs and tables. The presented collections are functional, yet practical and comfortable. Their natural and timeless style does not follow any trends, but combines functional aspects with high variability.

The American company Emeco has become a cult icon in the field of interior design thanks to its chairs. In 2006, it partnered with Coca-Cola and came up with the revolutionary 111 Navy Chair, produced from 111 recycled PET bottles. The chairs are intended for demanding use and are durable. Another eco chair, Broom, made from waste, was designed for Emeco by the world-renowned designer Philippe Starck. The chair uses once-used material. It is made up of three-quarters polypropylene waste and the remaining portion consists of recycled wood fiber. The Broom collection has recently been expanded to include a range of bar stools.

The latest collection of chairs and tables called SU, which was created in collaboration with the design studio Nendo, draws inspiration from traditional Japanese culture. "SU" translates to simple, clean, minimalist. Simplicity becomes more attractive than luxury in the form of lavish furnishing. Precise engineering and the use of new, eco-friendly materials are the main attributes of this collection. SU embodies the company's philosophy in both form and the material used. The table tops are made of high-pressure laminate (HPL). The seats are offered in three different designs, and the legs in two.

You can also find chairs from the recently presented Parrish collection by Grcic. These are chairs from a collection that is also eco-friendly and modular. Originally designed for the recently completed Parrish Art Museum in New York, the furniture, provoking with its simple shape, is made from aluminum and highlights the environment into which it is placed. The offer includes chairs, armchairs, and four variants of tables in two widths and two heights.

We believe that the prestigious design pieces presented in the showroom of Brother & Duck will find many enthusiasts and enrich many interiors. The complete collection is exclusively sold by Brother & Duck in stores at the Vinohradský Pavilon and on Poděbradská Street.
