The innovative TechZone™ system from Armstrong now offers even broader options in the composition of ceiling tiles and in integrating technical service elements.
In 2009, this system was the first attempt to simplify architects' work on specifications. Now TechZone™ is available in four standard layouts with the option to incorporate lighting or air conditioning. Technical service elements and accessories, Trox for air conditioning, XAL and Zumtobel for lighting, are selected to culminate in a clean, monolithic appearance alongside ceiling panels and suspension systems. Architects can easily design the arrangement of all elements to their vision in Armstrong's CAD/Revit library and then select only the types of interior ceiling panels and suspension systems. They can choose from the interior panels Armstrong Ultima+, Ultima+ OP, Perla, Perla OP 0.95, and Optima with MicroLook 90 or SL2 edges. All these boards and strips have excellent acoustic properties and are environmentally friendly.
Thanks to the innovative TechZone™ system, Armstrong is successfully integrating into the ever-growing trend of linear lighting.
Central Linear Lighting
Also new is the introduction of central linear lighting in continuous or standalone arrangements, which Armstrong presents together with its partner XAL Lighting. Architects and designers can create inspiring designs even in higher ceilings, where access to the space above the ceiling is not needed.
This unique solution represents a completely new system. However, it can also be adjusted for classic modules of size 600 x 600 mm, achieving an even cleaner monolithic appearance. This solution is suitable for both open space environments and enclosed rooms in office buildings, schools, hospitals, or shopping centers.
The high-performance XAL Leno LED fixtures designed for ceiling structures can be installed from below using an integrated system without the need to intervene in the existing ceiling. Fixtures can also be integrated into perimeter systems and custom Axiom transitions and used as suspended "cloud" Canopy. The lighting strips can be up to 2,400 mm long. The lighting is positioned longitudinally and parallel to the main profiles of the structure, so only one extra suspension is needed during installation. This makes assembly as quick and easy as standard systems. Additionally, the Armstrong product system comes with a 30-year warranty.
