Fawad Kazi (born 1971 in London) lives in Zurich and Vienna. From 1992 to 1999, he studied at ETH Zurich and Columbia University in New York. In 1999, he successfully completed his studies under Hans Kollhoff at ETH and then worked for Adolf Krischanitz in Vienna. In 2001, he traveled to Iran, Egypt, and Turkey, and then established his own office in Zurich. He has been a guest critic at universities in Switzerland and abroad. A recent project includes the Fagen School Center / Centro Scolastico Fago in Bolzano (2001-09). Upcoming projects include the General Hospital in St. Gallen (2009-27) and the Children's Hospital of Eastern Switzerland (2009-22).
