Miroslav Masák entered the history of Czech architecture in the 20th century as a co-founder of the Liberec association Sial. His friendship with Václav Havel also had a significant influence on his views. The lecture will introduce the audience to Masák's main works, which include the Máj department store in Prague, the reconstruction of the Trade Fair Palace for the National Gallery, or the Ještěd shopping center in Liberec, the demolition of which in 2009 outraged the Czech cultural public.
