How to approach the conversions of historic buildings? What role do the state, city, and funded organizations play? And what about the architectural competition? The National Heritage Institute (NPÚ) presented a plan for the reconstruction of the Prague Invalidovna to the public. It is to be complemented by two modern multi-story wings in the rear (southern) part according to the design by Petr Hájek Architects. We decided that on Monday, November 30, 2020, at 7:00 PM, we would provide space at CAMP for a substantive discussion on this topic beyond a simple “like/dislike.” We want to discuss the pitfalls presented by the process of completing one of Prague's most significant monuments.
Confirmed guests: Naděžda Goryczková, General Director of NPÚ Jan Kasl, Chairman of ČKA Petr Hájek, Architect / Petr Hájek Architects Tomáš Zdvihal, Architect / CBArchitektura Ondřej Boháč, Director of IPR Prague
Moderated by: Adam Gebrian
The discussion is organized in cooperation with the Institute of Planning and Development of the Capital City of Prague and the National Heritage Institute. You will be able to ask questions during the discussion on the platform slido.com under the hashtag #diskuzeinvalidovna
