Since the end of September, the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava has been hosting the seventh edition of the event "Reflections on Architecture." The project maps the architectural scenes of selected countries and has so far reflected the contemporary architectural scene of Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, and Norway. This year, the series of lectures will present the contemporary Hungarian architectural scene, which is currently dynamically developing and can be inspiring for Slovakia in many respects. The selection of speakers includes architects who represent all active creative generations and the most important trends of contemporary Hungarian architecture. The presentations will feature moderated discussions with the audience. The lectures will be recorded, archived, and accessible even after the event concludes. Thus, a unique material is created within the project, which serves as a record of contemporary architectural discussion and simultaneously a publicly accessible source of information. Part of the format of "Reflections on Architecture" is also a series of monographs capturing the lectures and critical audience reactions. "Reflections on Architecture" is returning to the physical environment of the Faculty of Architecture and Design in Bratislava after two years in the online space, which is open to architects, students, and the general public interested in architecture.
All lectures will be streamed on Facebook. The stream starts every day at 6:00 PM. You can participate in the discussion by commenting under the video.
