We would like to invite you to the second lecture from the Random Select series. On May 31, 2022, at 6:00 PM in the Great Hall of the Faculty of Architecture, MgA. Alžběta Brůhová will present a lecture 101 Things I Didn’t Learn in Architecture School.
Alžběta Brůhová. My professional journey began when I graduated in architecture from the AAAD in Prague, and materials entered my life fully. I fell in love with wood, completed several construction courses at Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Vermont, USA, participated in and subsequently led construction workshops at the Hellowood festival in Hungary, and also obtained a trade certificate as a carpenter. In searching for my own approach, I was helped, among other experiences, by my work at the Vienna-based studio nonconform, which focuses on participatory methods and interdisciplinary collaboration. I established an independent practice at the beginning of 2018 and currently teach as an assistant professor in the Architecture II studio at UMPRUM.
