We would like to invite you once again to the next edition of the Student Scientific Conference Architecture Policy vol. III: actors and the fulfillment of goals, which will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 between 1 PM - 6 PM in the Architects' Hall at the Old Town Hall in Prague. This year's third Architecture Policy conference is aimed at supporting collaboration among ministries, regions, municipalities, and the professional public in fulfilling the goals of architecture policy in land management and creating a quality built environment. European countries, cities, and regions formulate and use their Architecture Policies / Baukultur policy as tools for creating a quality living environment and ensuring success in international competition. The Czech Architecture and Building Culture Policy is currently in the evaluation stage five years after its adoption by the government of the Czech Republic. Doctoral students from the Faculty of Architecture at CTU collaborated last year on a review of European architecture policies and the development of recommendations and conclusions for the Ministry of Regional Development.

The aim of this year’s conference is to initiate the formulation of urban and regional architecture policies. The implementation of architecture policy is inconceivable without the involvement of institutions and the professional public at the municipal, regional, and national levels. The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Regional Development, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Czech Republic, and First Deputy Mayor Petr Hlaváček. The conference is organized by the Institute of Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture of CTU in cooperation with the City of Prague. The organization is provided by Martin Kloda, Josef Smutný, and Petr Lešek. The conference is supported by grant SVK 38/19/F5 from the Faculty of Architecture at CTU.
