The quality of architectural creation only reflects the state of the given society. It is no coincidence that Scandinavian countries are often cited as examples of socially solidarity policies and sustainable economies, where architecture is a subtle and integral part of everyday pleasant life. The giant offices of BIG and JDS have already garnered significant fame for Danish architecture, but there are a number of studios like COBE, TRANSFORM, NORD, ADEPT, EFFEKT, SLETH, WE, or JAJA, whose work deserves no less attention.
Petr Šmídek will share his observations from last year's expedition and the upcoming trip in September exploring contemporary Danish architecture.
