Urban Architect of Liberec - Invitation to the I. Public Discussion

At the end of last year, clouds began to move over the Liberec town hall, and the institution of the chief architect of the city of Liberec became a frequently mentioned topic in the political parties' campaign agendas during the election period.

What does the position of city architect entail?
To what extent will they be able to influence construction developments in the city?

Representatives of the city, the professional community, and the Liberec school of architecture will attempt to find answers not only to these questions within a series of public discussions. The first meeting will take place on March 17, 2011, at 7:30 PM at the Liberec Respekt café in the bookstore and antique shop Jaroslav Fryč. The topic will be addressed by Jiří Plos, Secretary of the Czech Chamber of Architects, architecture promoter Adam Gebrian, and architect Ondřej Císler.
The event is organized by Fryč bookstore in cooperation with mjölk architekti. The event is supported by the Cultural Fund of the city of Liberec.
