The lecture, which will be conducted in English, discusses the connections between the fields of planning, urban design, and human health, so that professionals can better understand how their own knowledge and practical experience can contribute to a better future. For more than 150 years, urban planners have been addressing, both practically and theoretically, ways to improve quality of life and public health in cities. Despite this, we live in a time when its deterioration is occurring - non-communicable chronic diseases, addictions, and other non-pathogenic illnesses are becoming increasingly common. It is necessary to seek ways to improve the quality of life and the environment through planning and designing cities so that we can be more adaptable and resilient to rapid changes.
