The Regional Scientific Library in Liberec, in collaboration with the National Heritage Institute, regional office in Liberec, presents another lecture from the series Monuments Around Us
Liberec Traces of Architect Bitzan
Tuesday, May 13, 2014, 6:00 PM, great hall, 2nd floor guest: Jaroslav Zeman, NHU, Regional Office in Liberec
The unjustly overlooked architect Rudolf Bitzan is among the most significant creators of geometric Art Nouveau and modernism active in our territory. Bitzan's close ties to Liberec were related not only to his studies at the local industrial school but also to his marriage to the daughter of the mayor of Frýdlant, Anton J. Aigner. The event is financially supported by the Fund for the Support and Development of Education of SML.
