The project "Reflections of Architecture" is implemented as part of the course Current Trends in Architecture. Its goal is to enrich and deepen the architectural discussion in the environment of the Faculty of Architecture STU and to embed it in broader social, historical, and geographical contexts. The course will present current trends in architecture through selected personalities. Selected architects will present their authorship approach, clarify the foundations of their work, justify their formal preferences, and provide examples and inspirations for their creations. In addition to discussions, which are a standard part of each presentation, the course introduces a format of short critical texts. Through these, students will respond to the presented author and their work. Thus, architects will receive immediate feedback on their work, and students will have the opportunity to cultivate their opinions on architecture as well as their skills in professional writing.
The presentations of architects and short texts will be published at the end of the project. Activities within the project are primarily aimed at students of the 2nd level of the study program Architecture and Urbanism, but are also freely accessible to the public.
