We invite you to the remarkable premises of the former Marshal's estate in Voděrádky, now the residence of Home of AV, where on November 30, 2023, at 7:00 PM, there will be a debate not only about concrete and architecture but also a tour of the building, held as part of the launch of the latest issue of the magazine INTRO.
The discussion evening follows a few previous ones and fully fulfills its original mission, which is to bring the audience from the general public and architecture enthusiasts to an unusual or less accessible place and provide them with a live experience of the discussion, during which interesting personalities from the world of architecture will have their say. This time, the speakers will be architects Petr Hájek and Petr Tej, the authors of iconic projects completed in recent months: the multifunctional hall in the Císařské lázně in Karlovy Vary, and the Štvanická bridge in Prague. We will also discuss the topic of rethink/reuse/upcycle/recycle or how concrete can succeed in today's societal demand.
As always, the informal evening will be hosted by the editor-in-chief of the magazine Martin Verner and the editor Tereza Šváchová. Refreshments will be provided in the form of a buffet, and visitors will have the opportunity to purchase older and current editions of the magazine INTRO on-site. Additionally, everyone will receive the November INTRO EXTRA focused on UHPC for free.
At the end, a guided tour of the Home of AV premises will be available for interested parties, led by Petr Vlček, the owner of the estate and the driving force behind its reconstruction, and Petr Hájek, co-author of the design.
We kindly ask those interested in attending INTRO TALKS to register informally via this form. Thank you!
