In the area of Hony Za Kukýrnou, construction has been ongoing for several years, and the zoning plan will allow for the partial further expansion of family and apartment houses. A private investor had previously wanted to build a shopping center, Trnec, on the former sawmill site; however, local activists who opposed it successfully sued, and the area remains unused. In the proposed zoning plan, the area is now designated as a mixed residential redevelopment, which allows for both residential and service facilities.
Some other investments and grant actions in the coming years are also linked to the new zoning plan.
