On April 2, 2019, at 14:00, the new cultural center L'ART was opened in Lanškroun. The original villa of jeweler Langer from 1894 was reconstructed and connected to a new hall measuring 16.5 x 23 m, which was built on the site of a demolished goldsmith workshop and a hotel from the 1970s. The construction, carried out according to the design of Atelier 90 from Brno, features a unique variable layout and uncompromisingly executed adjustable acoustics produced by the company Soning. The quality of the acoustic solution was tested that same evening by the chamber orchestra Czech Virtuosi with compositions by Leoš Janáček and Benjamin Britten. The acoustics were rated as excellent. The costs amount to approximately 170 million CZK.
