Prague - A new student campus with 539 rooms will be built in Prague's Holešovice district. It will be located between Na Zátorách and Partyzánská streets, near the Nádraží Holešovice metro station on line C. Hana Samuelová from Karlín Group, the company that will construct the building, informed ČTK. Students will rent the rooms. The developer has not yet determined the rent amount. According to the company, the campus is expected to start operating at the beginning of the 2020/2021 academic year.
The site where the campus will be built is currently unused and neglected. The building will have eight floors with a total living area of over 16,500 square meters. It will also include a restaurant on the ground floor with a terrace featuring a sky bar and space for summer barbecues. There will be an underground parking garage with 71 spaces.
“The students will also have access to study rooms, two small cinemas, one large multifunctional hall, and three larger kitchens equipped for potential communal cooking. The complex will also include a fitness center and a large bicycle storage area,” said Samuelová. The building will also have a laundry room.
The campus is not the only building set to rise in Holešovice. Another building is already standing near the Nádraží Holešovice metro station towards Argentinská street. In the future, the entire area of the Bubny-Zátory railway station is planned to be developed into a new district.
