Brno – A multifunctional complex will be created in Brno's Bohunice, which will include nearly 400 apartments, among other things. The city wants to agree with the investor on the terms of construction. This was stated in a press release today by the spokesman for the city hall, Filip Poňuchálek.
The planned multifunctional complex is situated southeast of the Jihlavská-Dlouhá intersection. Six buildings will be constructed with two common underground floors. Two buildings on the northern side will be designated for offices, services, and shops. The remaining four will be residential. A total of 392 apartments of various layouts should be established here. The investor plans to place parking for 499 cars underground, with ten additional spaces available above ground. The undeveloped area will serve as a public space with greenery, shops, restaurants, cafés, and outdoor furniture.
"For the construction project mentioned above, the city of Brno requires certain guarantees, which are described in our approved statement and will also be part of the planning agreement. In this agreement, the builder will commit to constructing necessary infrastructure, such as a water line, sewage system, public lighting, or sidewalks. Another condition is the placement of rainwater storage tanks for each building. The collected water will then be used for irrigation and possibly directed to a retention tank,” stated the city councilor for urban planning, Filip Chvátal (KDU-ČSL).
Another condition will be the coordination of the construction with the planned expansion of Jihlavská. "An equally important part of the agreement will be the planting of a tree alley along Dlouhá Street and the provision of infiltration measures. The flat roofs of the buildings will be covered with greenery. Last but not least, the developer will contribute an investment payment to the city, which will finance the construction of a kindergarten for local children," added Chvátal.
The investor turned to the city with a request for a statement on the project documentation for the zoning decision regarding the placement of the building. The Brno councilors discussed it at today’s meeting.
