BEROUN - In April, people will be able to start using two reconstructed buildings worth more than 50 million crowns in the area of the new barracks in Beroun. A symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for April 11 at the renovated military dormitory, where 50 small apartments have been created. The doors of the Beroun Community Center will officially open on April 19. This was announced today by the spokesperson for the Beroun city hall, Jitka Soukupová.

"In the former military dormitory, the city has built apartments for people with limited incomes using a state grant of 26.2 million crowns," she added.
The Beroun Community Center will house providers of social services under one roof. The establishment of the center received a grant of 18.7 million crowns from European funds, with an additional approximately 1.9 million crowns provided by the Ministry for Regional Development.
The entire building of the community center is designed to be barrier-free, with an elevator available for disabled users and six designated parking spaces in front of the building.
