Prague - About 460 employees of the Ministry of Education will move to the Harfa Office Park at the beginning of 2016. These are workers from the Operational Programs section, which is currently located in other commercial offices in Prague's Karlín district. The new lease agreement will save 40% of the current annual costs, the ministry stated in a press release.
The lease agreement has been signed for seven years, covering the duration of the new Operational Program for Research, Development and Education. Rental expenses will be covered by European funds. "By signing a new lease, there will be an annual saving of 27.69 million crowns compared to the current situation, which accounts for approximately 40% of the current annual costs," stated the ministry. This suggests that the annual rent should decrease from over 69 million to about 41.5 million crowns.
The company C&R Developments, which owns the office building at Harfa, won the bidding process. Ministry officials will be located in the same premises as, for example, ING Bank, Allianz, or the Czech Ice Hockey Association.
