<Rakovník> is having the roof of the winter stadium repaired

Rakovník - Rakovník is having the roof of the municipal ice rink repaired, as it was leaking in several places. This involves the section where the changing rooms, dormitory, and offices are located. The roof directly above the sports area also needs repairs. For this, the city has a completed architectural study with a proposal for new roofing and other adjustments. The preparation of project documentation is now in the city's investment pipeline, stated the spokesperson of the Rakovník town hall, Kateřina Hradilová, in response to a query from ČTK.

The reconstruction of the corridor above the stadium's facilities started in July this year. "The company is working on the roof repair; completion should be by September 30," Hradilová said. The roofing asphalt layers were no longer in good condition; they will be replaced with new covering, also made of asphalt layer. New metal sheeting will be added, and the work will also include the repair of the lightning rod. The costs will exceed half a million crowns.

The planned extensive repairs are estimated to cost 56 million crowns excluding VAT, according to price estimates from the end of last year. The decision on starting the tender for the project documentation will be made by the councilors, but the city will be investing in the sports hall and the football stadium complex in the coming years, so the project for the ice rink will likely be developed once Rakovník secures the necessary funding for it.
