Protest of the citizens of Brno against the construction of garages under the Vegetable Market

The case of the planned garages under Zelný trh in Brno has transformed into an organized protest by experts and the public. Nevertheless, today the City Council of Brno reiterated its positive stance on the simplified zoning procedure, thereby expressing its consent to the construction of garages in the endangered area of the oldest square in Brno. One of the few options for returning the plan for discussion to the city representatives is the open petition of the citizens of Brno expressing disagreement addressed to the City Council of Brno, which must be signed by 0.5% (about 2000) of the residents. This petition can be found in the Brno cafés Daguerre, Podnebí, Podobrazy, Tungsram, Trojka, Akademická kavárna, Literární kavárna Akademia, or in the bookstore Ženíšek. The petition can also be downloaded here and submitted signed at collection points in the café Švanda (Alfa passage, Poštovská 8) and Spolek (Orlí 22).
