The Chairman of the Czech Chamber of Architects has been elected Jan Vrana

At the General Assembly of the Czech Chamber of Architects (ČKA) in Pardubice, new members of the ČKA bodies were elected on April 17, 2010. In the first week of May, elections for the chairpersons and vice-chairpersons were held. The new chairman of ČKA is the former 1st vice-chairman of the board, Ing. arch. akad. arch. Jan Vrana. He replaced Ing. arch. Dalibor Borák in this position.

Architect Jan Vrana (*1944) studied at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague under Professor František Cubr and continued his studies with him at the Prague Academy of Art. He worked in the Project Institute for Construction of the Capital City of Prague under Karel Filsak, and since 1991, he has led the architectural studio HÉTA, of which he is a co-owner. He became a member of ČKA in 1993, when he also began to actively work in its bodies (as a member of the examination authorization committee, member of the Guild Court, later a member of the board). In 2007, he was elected 1st vice-chairman of ČKA. He will serve as chairman of the board of ČKA until the next elections in May 2011.
