Prague - 80 years ago, on October 21, 1928, a new bridge over the Vltava River was opened - the T. G. Masaryk Bridge in Kralupy nad Vltavou. The three-arch reinforced concrete bridge, which was built between 1926 and 1928 according to the designs of architects Jiří Kroha and Jarolím Farský, remains the only road bridge over the Vltava in Kralupy and its surroundings. The bridge with three segmental arches is supported by two symmetrical bridge pillars. The bridge is a total of 200 meters long and consists of three openings, the middle one with a span of 80 meters allowing the full flow of the Vltava River under normal water conditions. The width of the bridge between the railings is 11.23 meters.
