Prague - Prague 7 wants the modernized track from Prague to the airport and Kladno to go through the Bubny station via bridge structures. It strives for the railway surroundings to be more accessible to people and for the railway not to create barriers. The list of conditions was approved by the local council, according to its resolution. The neighboring Prague 6 recently decided to request that the track be routed between Dejvice and Veleslavín in a tunnel.

The modernization of the track to Kladno and the construction of a railway connection to the airport in Ruzyně has been discussed since the 1990s. The fully electrified double-track line is planned by the Railway Transport Administration to cost 19.5 billion crowns.
"Currently, the track divides Prague 7, and we would like it to unite it in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to design the railway in Bubny as an architecturally high-quality urban-forming element," said ČTK Mayor of Prague 7 Jan Čižinský. "The track must have sufficient height for underpasses and overpasses, and in places of significant public spaces, there must be visual connections from one side to the other," he added. The municipality will also request the use of modern noise-reduction measures. It also wants to know how the construction will affect the Royal Game Reserve.
The Ministry of Transport recently approved the form of the track, which will follow the route of the current railway from Masaryk Station across the Negrelli Viaduct to Stromovka and then through a tunnel to Dejvice. The ministry prefers that the track between Dejvice and Veleslavín go partially in a tunnel. After the Praha - Ruzyně stop, there will be a branch to the airport, after which the track will continue to Kladno.
Passengers should be able to get from the city center to the airport in 27 minutes.
