The book presents an authors' selection of 99 realized family houses by Czech architects that were designed and built in the last few years. It primarily contains extensive photographic documentation, accompanied by explanatory comments on each building. The photographs are complemented by drawing documentation for each of the buildings, including floor plans and sections at the same scale of 1:333 and site plans at 1:1000, which allows for comparison of size and spatial arrangement. The introductory texts help laypeople understand the issues surrounding the entire design process, legislation, and realization. The book will appeal not only to potential builders, architects, and architecture students but also to anyone who appreciates "good" houses.
