From May 1 to May 14, the second edition of the online Cinema CAMP will take place in collaboration with DAFilms. Film and architecture enthusiasts can look forward to five documentary films that have gained success at international film festivals over the past year.
The Center for Architecture and Urban Planning (CAMP) invites you to the second edition of the film festival not only about architecture. From May 1, viewers can watch films on the platform campuj.online.
This year, you can look forward to an unconventional architectural road trip that takes you into the depths of bustling Tokyo. Behind the wheel of his vintage Alfa Romeo, the renowned architect and Pritzker Prize laureate, Ryue Nishizawa, comments on his hometown. He gradually discusses the buildings that have influenced him the most and also his own work. The film comes from the creators Louis Lemoine and Ila Bêka, who personally visited CAMP two years ago and premiered their film online last year.
In other films, we will discover that even the Sahara can have a friendly face (143 Sahara Street), we will explore the Linkeroever neighborhood in Antwerp (Annapolis, Giant City), a cultural shock awaits us after visiting the Chinese city of Jackson Hole (Americaville), and finally, we will be captivated by the ornaments and geometric shapes in the drawings of the Dutch visual wizard Escher (M.C. Escher: Journey to Infinity).
