Nový Jičín – Nový Jičín is looking for an external city architect who will provide the city and the public with advice and consultations in the areas of architecture, urban planning, spatial planning, and heritage care. The city has already published a request for this service on the electronic public procurement portal. CTK was informed today by the spokesperson of the Nový Jičín town hall, Marie Machková.
"The city architect will be an advisor and expert opponent for significant projects being developed for the city in terms of urban and architectural solutions. His critical perspective and original input will be welcomed in the creation of conceptual studies and manuals, with the goal of enhancing the building culture in Nový Jičín," said Jitka Pospíšilová, head of the Nový Jičín Department of Development and Investments.
Interested parties can apply until March 17. The city architect should start working for Nový Jičín in the second quarter of this year, with consultation hours once a week.
"He should work 500 hours a year, and his fee is set at 750 crowns per hour of activity excluding VAT," added Machková. The architect will also provide professional assistance to developers, investors, and property owners to ensure that their plans do not conflict with the architectural development and concepts of the city.
"He will also oversee important projects, such as the construction of new sports facilities or the revitalization of housing estates," said Nový Jičín Deputy Mayor Ondřej Syrovátka (Greens). According to him, the architect should also initiate the announcement of architectural and urban competitions and assist the city in planning large investments and public spaces.
