Olomouc - Energy savings, but also photovoltaic systems and building systems dominated this year's construction and technical fair Stavotech, which took place from Thursday to Saturday afternoon at the Olomouc Exhibition Grounds Flora. Over three days, approximately 7,000 people visited the event, which is a few dozen more than last year. Petr Nasadil from the organizing company Omnis Olomouc told the Czech Press Agency. "People asked and were most interested in heat pumps, insulation, as well as photovoltaic systems, roofs, floors, or building systems. We are satisfied with this year's attendance, and according to feedback, the companies are also satisfied, although they will see the effect in terms of contracts only later," Nasadil noted. The fair featured products from companies offering masonry materials, roofing, windows, doors, garage doors, and insulation materials. A large number of exhibitors also showcased boilers, heating units, or underfloor heating in Olomouc. Alternative heating methods were represented by heat pumps and solar systems. The accompanying program of the fair also focused on energy savings, dedicated to low-energy construction, elevator safety issues, and new approaches to swimming pool technology, balneology, and wellness. The fair also included an exhibition focused on heritage care and the restoration of historic sites, Renova, which included, for example, an exhibition from the heritage institute. "A total of nearly 200 exhibitors participated in the fair. It is evident that they have a need to present themselves, but perhaps due to the economic crisis, they are cutting costs. For some, this meant smaller stands or less ostentatious displays compared to previous years. Despite the crisis, there is no decrease in visitors; on the contrary. People would rather invest their money into their homes than leave it in the bank," Nasadil explained. The traditional Stavotech fair is one of the largest construction exhibitions in Moravia. This year marks its 39th edition. In addition to the spring event, there is also an autumn part of the fair, which tends to attract somewhat fewer visitors.
