Prague - Today, people can visit the Liechtenstein Palace in Prague's Kampa. The open house begins at 9:00 AM, and the last guided tour will be at 4:00 PM. Due to the favorable coronavirus situation, the government is once again opening all its palaces and villas to the public. The Liechtenstein Palace will also be open on August 15, the first weekend in September, October 28, and finally on November 17 in celebration of the Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy.

The Liechtenstein Palace is primarily used by the government as a representative space for the Prime Minister. In the apartments located on the second floor, visitors such as Spanish King Juan Carlos with his wife Sofia, British Queen Elizabeth II, and Japanese Emperor Akihito stayed during their visits to Prague. At the palace, visitors will also be able to see an exhibition of protocol gifts from the Prime Minister. Currently, the palace serves as a venue for conferences, protocol events, and meetings of state delegations.

The open house days of historic sites of the government office are returning after a break caused by the coronavirus epidemic and are taking place throughout the summer. The government organizes regular Saturday excursions at Kramář’s Villa, Hrzán Palace, and Liechtenstein Palace. In September and October, it will also be possible to visit the sites on the first Saturday of the month and during public holidays. This year's open house days will culminate on November 17 in celebration of the Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy, when Hrzán Palace and the Liechtenstein Palace will be open to the public.

In September, the main seat of the government office, Strakova Academy, will also be opened, among other occasions during the celebration of Czech Statehood Day on September 28. Another site, Beneš Villa in Sezimovo Ústí, will be open to visitors from September 4 to the end of October on both weekend days. Tours in all buildings will take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and admission is free.
