Luhačovice (Zlín Region) - The Lázně Luhačovice company is preparing the construction of a new accommodation, relaxation, and conference complex. This will result from the reconstruction of the Alexandria spa hotel and the construction of new buildings. The project for the spa was prepared by the architectural company Helika, which informed ČTK about it today. The costs for the renovation and completion of Alexandria are expected to be approximately 270 million crowns. ČTK was unable to obtain a statement from the director of the Lázně Luhačovice company. After the reconstruction of the Alexandria hotel, a complete reconstruction is also planned for the Morava I hotel building. The current Morava II hotel building will be replaced by a new building with therapeutic facilities and an indoor pool. The complex will also include a newly built Morava III hotel. The facility will consist of five buildings. The total costs for the construction of the complex are expected to be around 700 million crowns. The company has invested in the renovation of the spa buildings last year as well. For example, it reconstructed the spa guesthouse Alpská růže for over 20 million crowns. Lázně Luhačovice specializes primarily in the treatment of respiratory diseases, but their services are also used by people with musculoskeletal disorders and digestive system issues or diabetes. The spa has a capacity of 1,300 beds, and at the end of last year, about 550 people worked for the company. The company reported revenues of approximately 348 million crowns and a profit of about 14 million crowns in 2006. In Luhačovice, guests can take advantage of the therapeutic effects of up to 17 springs. The most well-known springs here are Vincentka, Ottovka, Aloiska, and Dr. Šťastný's Spring.
